Lindsay's Letter

To Whom It May Concern:

Before attending the program at EEPS I had faced a lot of personal adversity. I was trying to turn my life around in order to become a useful, productive member of society. To accomplish this I first needed to obtain the equivalent of my grade 12 education. I was vulnerable and nervous at this time in my life, but what I had found would soon put me at ease. I had found a group of people who truly worked in unison, working toward one common goal: to help their clients build skills needed to succeed in the following ventures of their lives. It was evident to me that each and every person involved in this stupendous program was genuinely concerned with their clients’ own personal needs, situations and individual level of development. Very goal oriented, EEPS was extremely supportive in helping me to obtain my GED. I am indebted to this program and their faculty for their endless support and positive encouragement in reaching this goal. Support is key when making life changes, and at EEPS I was never lacking in this key element. I was successful at writing my final exams, but could not have gotten there without the patient, insightful people who helped me along the way. Getting my GED was merely a stepping stone to my future ventures. It was however, an essential one that was to my surprise a more pleasant experience than I could have hoped for. The relationships that were developed through this event in my life inspired me to enter the helping professions as well. I am currently enrolled in RRC, studying to become a Child and Youth Recreation Activity Worker. I am blossoming by leaps and bounds, but none of this could have been possible without the first step in the right direction. I indeed got my life change, and I would like to extend a huge warm “thank you” to those who started me off on this path. So, THANK YOU to all the helpers at EEPS, who make being helped an extraordinary event.

If a recommendation like Lindsay's is not a strong reinforcement for EEPS staff and management then I don't know what is.
